Our approach
Most comparison sites rank casinos on a single headline, usually the bonus. We think that's the wrong question. A casino you actually enjoy using has to be good at several things at once, so our ranking rewards all-round quality and marks down any area that's clearly weak.
Criteria and weights

The overall score is the weighted average of the six ratings, rounded to one decimal place. The same weights apply to every casino.
The rating scale
- 9–10: among the best available to Canadian players in this area.
- 7–8.9: good, with minor drawbacks.
- 5–6.9: average; clear room for improvement.
- Below 5: a real weakness we'd want readers to know about, such as 200x wagering or very limited regulation.
